Hip fashion at thrift shop prices
Flavour
This radical new spot has quickly become a Victoria favourite. It's like a best-of-Value Village type place. Take the best clothing from all the massive thrift shops, put them in an awesome and comfortable and completely hip environment, keep the prices pretty much the same (!!!) and add nice (and pretty hot) staff. That's flavour. Neat!

The Patch
This is an absolutely wicked second-hand clothing store and it is BIG. It has a huge selection of both girls' and guys' clothes, so dudes won't feel left out. And the prices are pretty good. Plus it has a massive selection of jewellery and the staff is totally helpful and nice and very knowledgeable!

Side Show
A fab selection of... I guess you could say "alternative" clothing. But what the heck does that mean? Okay, you'll find cool clothes here. And Suzanne makes a lot of it herself!

Fair prices for fab pieces

Paradise Boutique
This funky place started as a one-woman job selling bikinis to the Bay. Now she has her own store selling swimwear, skirts, hats, jewellery and many other summer must-haves. - Madeline

Utopia
It's quite literally a utopia... of t-shirts and hoodies!! - Madeline

Decade
A new retro-rad clothing store with shoes and cool assessories too. Same vibe (and owner!) as Flavour.
1407 Government Street (map) 380-0774
Smoking Lily
The smallest store in Victoria is also one of the coolest. Most of the store's awesome clothing is actually made by their staff right here in Victoria, and the girls know what they're doing. Truly unique items with a Victoria flair and a quality homemade edge, this kinda stuff isn't even that pricy, and it's totally worth it. This is one of Victoria's gems.

Vortex
Our friend Duane has, through serendipity and connections, tapped into an interstellar trans-dimensional trade route, which he uses to distribute his own clothing designs, as well as those of alien civilizations and parallel-dimension beings. And lots of these bizarre creatures are really into Rock & Roll!
556b Pandora Avenue (Between Government and Wharf) (map) 381- 9857
Old Nick's
Want a shirt that says Drunken Duncan? Or maybe "The old IV"? Old Nick's t-shirt print humour is the most poignant and local and abrasive you can get in downtown Victoria, so to bring home something really Victoria in a harsh way, check it out. Plus the prices are good and the people working there are total punks.

"You spent $250 on a pair of pants???"
Breeze Clothing
It's a bit exclusive here but they've got some awesome dresses and other women's clothes! Located right behind the Bay Centre at the entrance to Bastion Square.

Rebel Rebel
If you have the cash to invest in complete and utter coolness, Rebel Rebel has what you need. Plus the people who work there are ultra-nice, and fashionable as the sky is blue on a summer Sunday. And they actually have good sunglasses - very hard to find.
While you're there, pick up a copy of Vice Magazine.

Open Daily 11am - 6pm, Sunday 12pm - 5pm
Still Life
Packed with a massive selection of hip clothes and hip kids, Still Life is a must-see destination for hardcore shoppers. The stuff's good, it's a nice big shop with good dressing rooms and everything, the staff is nice and everything, but warning: this is for serious shoppers only (their prices are sky high).
