Extended Stay rooms are available from September to May/June. We update the list of available monthly rooms every month on the 5th for the next month’s rentals. Availability is updated every 1-2 days. Check this page often, as new rooms can become available each day. Act fast if you’re interested, the rooms often rent quickly!

Rates quoted are for one person. A 2nd person is an additional $50 for a full month, or $30 for a half-month.

If there are no rooms listed here, or if the dates or room types don’t suit you, we also offer discounted ‘Anytime Monthly Rooms’ for all periods except July and August. These are subject to availability, see the room & rates section or contact us for more details!

How to Book an Extended Stay (biweekly or monthly) Room

  1. Choose a room/suite that meets your needs and strikes your fancy. You can tour via our web site or by dropping by. We would rather give you a personal tour so we can find what best suits you: our office hours are 10:30am to 5:30pm Victoria (Pacific) time, but we are open 24 hours if you want to visit us and have a look around and get information from our front desk. To view the Suites, you’ll need to make an appointment with the office.
  2. Fill out an application form from the Front Desk. If you cannot drop by for this, contact us and we’ll ask you for a few details.
  3. Once you’ve been approved, let our office staff know which room/suite you have decided on.
  4. Read and sign our Guest Agreement. If you can’t come in to do this, we can fax you a copy to fill out and return to us.
  5. Pay the deposit to secure your room ($100 for a Mini Twin room, $250 for any other room at Ocean Island) (first month’s rent for a suite).Your room/suite is not reserved until this has been received.
  6. On your move in date at the Ocean Island Inn, you will need to pay rent and key deposit before you are allowed to move in. For the Suites, you will need to pay the security deposit (half a month’s rent).

Ocean Island Inn

Each room at Ocean Island has one or more beds, a fridge, a lamp, a fan and your linens (bed sheets included: towels available for a small deposit). Some rooms also have tables & chairs, shelving, lockers, closets, sinks and cupboards. In addition, all Ocean Island guests get:

  • Free wireless Internet in every room, plus wired outlets in the common areas
  • Heat and hot water
  • Most rooms have hardwood floors and are stylishly decorated with handmade Indonesian art and framed photos of beautiful places all around the world

  • A security deposit of $250 ($100 for Mini Twin rooms or rooms for half the month) must be paid when you book the room.
  • The first month’s rent (and the $10 key deposit) is due on your move in date. Subsequent months’ rent are due on the first day of each month.
  • Sorry, no pets allowed at Ocean Island Inn, but the Suites are pet friendly. Click here for more details.
  • Security deposit refunds are ready for pickup, as a cheque, three business days after the move out date specified in your rental agreement.

Ocean Island Suites

The Suites are custom designed and decorated with a full kitchen, full bathroom and a deluxe queen-size bed in each bedroom. Other amenities include:

  • First month’s rent is paid when you book the suite.
  • A security deposit of 50% of a month’s rent is paid on your move-in date.
  • Hydro is $25-$80 depending on season and your use.
