A smattering of local talent I suggest you see play live if you can while you’re in Victora. Check out: www.livevictoria.com for concert listings!

Bučan Bučan

All the way from deepest darkest Bučanistan, Victoria’s No1  Gypsy Marching Band.  They’re Loud and Amazing and  Pretend to Be from The Eastern Bloc and  Wear Fake Moustaches  and what more could you ask for?

Lonesome Valley Singers

Apocalyptic roots country? Weirder than a hail storm on a sunny day.

Bells and Cannons

Relatively new to the Victoria music scene Bells and Cannon’s are quickly becoming my new favourite band.  Devon Grieve’s arresting voice will give you hairections.

Meatdraw

I unabashedly love Meatdraw. I sometimes call them the Victoria’s Very Own, Better Dressed,  Odder Modest Mouse but never to their faces. If they’re playing while you’re in town, Go! I’ll probably be there.

Carolyn Mark

The original party girl.  Hilarious Country Pop. That’s a genre I just made up.  But it is all hers and you are definitely laughing with her not at her.
