A fantastic large-scale hostel with great amenities including pool tables and a nice bar. Can’t beat the location either if you want to be in the heart of downtown.

Housing one of, if not the oldest, bar in BC, this place is known for its great parties.

Just a short walk to the downtown core and a hop away from Science World.
St. Clair Hotel: 577 Richards Street
These guys straddle the hostel/budget hotel line, so they only have private rooms. They’re in a great downtown location and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
YWCA Hotel/Residence: 733 Beatty Street
The Y is a hotel that offers private rooms only but they cater to a lot of travellers and offer top quality accommodation for the price!
